This project was a runner-up to the 'AI Governance' prize on our AI Alignment (March 2024) course.
Thrilled to share key insights on compute governance in the EU:
🛡️ Unregulated compute power presents safety risks but also unique opportunities for the EU.
🚀 Strategically allocating resources towards AI safety research and specialised models aligns with EU goals and can offer a global competitive advantage.
📜 Existing frameworks like the NIS2 Directive, the AI Act, and the Cybersecurity Act could be amended to establish effective governance.
This research was part of my BlueDot Impact Alignment Course project.
